Clean your boat from stem to stern. First impressions count. A coat of paint here and there might do wonders.
Don't overprice or underprice your boat. Give this a lot of thought. Be realistic.
Get a good colour picture of your boat. Preferably a closeup on a bit of an angle.
Make sure that whoever answers your phone records the person's name and phone number.
Make a list of your boat's strengths and features. Make some copies. Have it ready to send to a potential buyer.
If you have access to the Internet, ask a potential buyer if they have email. You can send them a close up picture of your boat (and maybe shots of the inside) and the list of features you wrote up.
Practice negotiating. Keep your bottom line in mind but be prepared to give the buyer some wiggle room.
Be flexible in the times you are willing to show the boat.
